Description
Atuy is a princess of the domain of Shahhoro and the daughter of Soyankekuru, one of the powerful Eight Pillar Generals who serve the Emperor of Yamato. Her status as royalty does little to define her daily life, as she frequently abandons her official duties to pursue her own interests in the capital.

Atuy possesses a striking and unusual appearance. She is a young woman with orange eyes and short black hair, the ends of which are adorned with small ornaments. Like many other races in her world, she has animalistic features including bat-like ears and a small tail. Her typical outfit consists of a primarily orange and white leotard accented with metal pieces, paired with matching boots that leave her legs bare. A distinctive feature is the small, light-blue cap she often wears on her head, which is actually Kurarin, her floating pet jellyfish.

Her personality is defined by a sharp and often surprising duality. In everyday life, Atuy presents a silly and cutesy demeanor, seemingly unconcerned with her princely rank. She is a hopeless romantic whose primary goal appears to be finding the man of her dreams, though she is notably picky about her type. Despite her somewhat flighty exterior, she genuinely cares for her friends. However, this cheerful and romantic facade completely disappears on the battlefield. There, Atuy is known throughout Yamato as a berserker who genuinely loves war and bloodshed, finding joy in combat where her demeanor becomes fierce and brutal. She also has a notable and intense dislike of bugs.

Atuy first crossed paths with the protagonist Haku by coincidence and immediately took a strong interest in him, forcing him to accompany her on a tour of the capital. During this outing, she would become flustered and blush whenever they visited locations she deemed romantic. As their relationship developed, she revealed that they often spent nights talking and drinking together, sharing secrets. She grew to call him Onii-san, a term of endearment, and eventually came to realize that she was in love with him, viewing him as someone special.

Her most important friendship is with Rurutie, a fellow princess from the domain of Nine Villages. The two enjoy spending time together, particularly going shopping, and Atuy is well aware of Rurutie's fondness for stories about romantic relationships between men. Atuy's relationship with her father, Soyankekuru, is characterized by his deep care for her and an overprotectiveness that often manifests when Haku is nearby.

Over the course of the story, Atuy develops from a princess who runs away from her responsibilities into a more committed, though still eccentric, ally. Her romantic feelings for Haku represent a significant personal development, moving from a general, picky search for a dream man to a specific and genuine emotional attachment. This evolution is central to her character, as her initial childish quest for love matures into a more profound connection. In combat, she is an expert spear fighter, and her fearsome reputation as a battlefield berserker makes her a valuable and powerful asset in the conflicts that arise.
