Marlowe Faustus is a human from Earth who serves as the founder and first headmaster of the Bakugan Academy, a school built to train brawlers in elemental brawling to combat the dangerous Elemental Storms spreading across the world. He first appears in the series Bakugan: Evolutions and is initially portrayed as a hero who leads a group of Elemental Brawlers. His background includes being the former brawler of the Bakugan known as Haos Wrath. Faustus is responsible for the creation of the Elemental Storms, having been deceived by Wrath, his own partner Bakugan, into believing the storms would improve bonds between humans and Bakugan. This deception also unleashed an evil side of Faustus that worked alongside Wrath to generate more storms. After the Academy students and the Awesome Brawlers defeated both Faustus and Wrath, Faustus was reinstated as headmaster, though many students and teachers temporarily lost trust in him. Later, when Wrath returned and absorbed the power of a diamond to evolve into Genesis, Faustus became fused with Wrath after Wrath was destroyed, and his consciousness was sealed away as Wrath took control of his body. Throughout the story, Faustus is motivated by a desire to protect the world from the Elemental Storms and to train the next generation of brawlers, though his actions are marred by his initial misplaced trust in Wrath.
