Description
Griffers Credo is a character from the anime Megaton Musashi, originally serving as a senior commander within the Draktor military forces. He is a former knight who once served Queen Ashem alongside a comrade named Sazanto, but his trajectory changes dramatically due to his intense and unwavering devotion to her.

Griffers presents a dual-sided personality. On the surface, he is consistently calm and composed, displaying a rational and strategic mind befitting his high rank. However, this stoic exterior masks a deeply obsessive loyalty to Ashem, whom he regards not merely as his sovereign but as a woman he personally cherishes. When Ashem is involved, his composure shatters, revealing a dangerously possessive and volatile nature. This fixation leads him to commit extreme acts, such as vehemently opposing the queen's order to execute Ashem, which culminates in him launching a coup d'état to overthrow the queen and seize the throne for himself. His jealousy is equally potent; he develops a fierce enmity towards the human pilot Daigo Ichiji, who grows close to Ashem, and attempts to kill him. When his ally Sazanto tries to temper these violent outbursts, Griffers refuses to listen and fatally attacks him in a fit of rage. Outside of matters concerning Ashem, however, he is relatively normal and can even be bemused by the odd behaviors of others.

Griffers' primary motivation evolves from serving his queen to orchestrating a grander plan for the future of his people. After becoming emperor, his actions are guided by the need to prepare for a formidable impending threat. As part of this grand strategy, he relentlessly pursues Ashem, not just out of obsession, but as a key component of a crucial ritual known as the "Pact". His role in the story is that of a primary antagonist who shifts from a loyal commander to a usurping emperor. He eventually secures Ashem's person, but his path intertwines with the human protagonists when he temporarily chooses to ally with Earth's forces to eliminate a rogue faction led by Dixenberg, which poses a mutual threat.

Griffers' development culminates in a complex and tragic end. Driven by his singular focus, he confronts a mentally fragile Ashem to forcibly complete the Pact, a ritual requiring a sacrifice to elevate the next Sidoll ruler. In his final moments, he deliberately provokes Ashem, mocking Daigo to ignite her fury, leading to his own death at her hands. As his body is consumed, the ritual is fulfilled, transforming Ashem into the true queen. In this act, Griffers achieves his ultimate goal of making Ashem the "light of Sidoll," revealing that his seemingly destructive obsession was, in his own twisted logic, a final service to his nation and his beloved queen. Regarding his abilities, Griffers is a formidable combatant capable of piloting a giant mech and engaging in fierce battles, though specific technical details of his combat prowess are not prominently detailed.
