TV-Series
Description
Andro M. Jazz, often called Jazz, is a demon student at Babyls Demon School and a member of the misfit class alongside Iruma Suzuki. He has a slim build, short black hair, red eyes, and pierced ears. At first glance, Jazz appears to have a laid-back and lazy personality, often seeming uninterested in hard work or difficult tasks. This casual exterior, however, belies a deep-seated passion for his family's traditional art of thievery. When presented with a challenge that requires his unique skills, his demeanor shifts to one of genuine excitement and focus, revealing a cunning and resourceful individual who finds great joy in a successful heist.

Jazz comes from a family of thieves who hold a unique philosophy regarding their craft. They believe that possession is fleeting; if someone has something stolen from them, it is ultimately their own fault for not protecting it properly. This upbringing shaped Jazz's worldview and talents from a young age, as he was frequently targeted by his older brother, Rock, who would steal from him constantly. This brotherly rivalry pushed Jazz to refine his abilities, determined to become a more skilled thief than his sibling.

Jazz's primary role within the misfit class is that of a specialist in infiltration, acquisition, and deception. His most notable abilities stem from his bloodline magic and family techniques. His signature power is called Pit, which allows him to instantly see any items concealed on a person's body and perceive the quickest route to steal them without being detected. To hone his precision and control, Jazz wears a golden ring on each of his ten fingers. These rings are training tools designed to clatter together at the slightest wasted movement, acting as a built-in alarm system that alerts potential victims to his presence. The challenge of keeping them silent pushes him to move with absolute economy and grace. He has also mastered a family technique known as Serpent Thieves, where he stretches his fingers to their limit, making them move with the fluid, independent flexibility of snakes to snatch items from nearly any angle. Complementing these physical theft skills, Jazz is also a skilled user of transformation magic, allowing him to alter his face and voice to perfectly impersonate other demons. This ability makes him invaluable for elaborate schemes and misdirection.

Jazz shares a particularly strong partnership with his classmate, Allocer Schneider. As two of the more intellectually and strategically minded members of the misfit class, they frequently work together, combining Jazz's deceptive and thieving prowess with Allocer's vast knowledge and analytical skills. Their teamwork was forged under the unorthodox tutelage of the teacher General Furfur, who subjected them to a grueling training regimen designed to teach the art of deceit and adult cunning. This experience, which involved working in a nightclub to pay off a fabricated debt, taught them to read people, negotiate, and trick others to get what they want. Throughout the Harvest Festival, they used these lessons to great effect, employing trickery and impersonation to outmaneuver and loot other teams without resorting to direct violence.

Throughout the series, Jazz undergoes significant character development, moving from a student who merely practices thievery as a family hobby to a reliable and strategic member of his class. His experiences, particularly those with Furfur, teach him that being cunning is not just about taking things but about understanding psychology and maintaining constant awareness, as there is always a chance someone could turn the tables. This growth is recognized by his peers and teachers alike, and as a key member of the misfit class, he consistently contributes to their collective goal of reaching higher ranks and proving their worth as the "abnormal class," ultimately helping to secure victories and successes that elevate the entire group's standing within the school.
