Description
Fist is a Mecha-Ude, a sentient mechanical life form originating from another dimension. He is the older brother of Alma, another Mecha-Ude who becomes a central figure in the conflict between humans and their kind. Fist arrives on Earth alongside Alma, and his past is deeply marked by betrayal and loss. One hundred years before the main events of the story, he witnessed the deaths of his human companions, Yakumo and Tsukihito Kagami, an event he believes was caused by malicious human interference. This tragedy shattered his belief in the possibility of peaceful coexistence between humans and Mecha-Ude.

To enact his plans, Fist used his abilities to reanimate the corpse of Yakumo Kagami, turning it into a puppet that he controls and presents as a human named Aljis. Through this guise, he infiltrates and becomes the leader of the resistance group ARMS, which ostensibly fights to protect Mecha-Ude from exploitation by entities like the Kagami Group. Fist maintains a stoic, logical, and emotionless exterior, prioritizing cold, hard logic in his leadership of ARMS. However, this calm facade conceals a deep-seated hatred for humanity, born from the trauma of losing Tsukihito. This hatred is described as arising from love, forming a core contradiction in his supremacist ideology that justifies any action for the liberation of his kind.

Fist's ultimate motivation is to free all Mecha-Ude by any means necessary. While his public goal as the leader of ARMS is liberation, his true, secret plan is to manipulate both ARMS and the Kagami Group to serve his own agenda. He comes to believe that a utopian end justifies the most extreme means, including human enslavement or mass sacrifice. His grand strategy centers on reclaiming his brother, Alma, who is identified as a unique "Trigger Arm" capable of generating its own energy, Arbitrium, and functioning without a human host. Fist plans to use Alma's power to activate a device called Ordela, which would open a portal to the Mecha-Ude homeworld, flood Earth with Arbitrium, and allow his people to enslave the entire human race.

In the story, Fist serves as the primary antagonist. As the mastermind controlling events from the shadows, his machinations drive the central conflict between ARMS and the Kagami Group, both of which he secretly manipulates to further his own plan. His key relationships are defined by control and ideology. His bond with his younger brother Alma is the most significant. Fist views Alma's idealism and partnership with the human Hikaru as a direct threat and a hindrance to his plans, leading to an inevitable ideological and physical confrontation between them. His other relationships are exploitative: he puppeteers the corpse of Yakumo Kagami, presenting it as Aljis, and later abandons this decaying body to forcefully take over Jun Kagami as a new host against his will. His treatment of humans stands in stark opposition to Alma's cooperating partnership with Hikaru.

Over the course of the narrative, Fist's character is defined by a descent from calculated control to emotional volatility. For a century, he patiently manipulates both sides of the conflict from within ARMS. However, as his plans progress and he is confronted by his brother, his stoic facade begins to crumble, leading to emotional outbursts and increasingly erratic behavior. His development shows that he has processed his century-old trauma in a destructive way, choosing to harbor hatred and a desire for conquest, in contrast to Alma, who processed his grief in a healthier manner by forming new, equal bonds. Ultimately, his ideology of Mecha-Ude supremacy is challenged and defeated by his brother, who argues that humanity as a whole, despite its flaws, strives for good. After his defeat, glimpses of a reformed Fist are suggested, as he is shown being repaired alongside Jun Kagami.

Fist possesses several notable abilities that reflect his nature and strategic mind. His primary skill is a form of corpse puppetry, allowing him to reanimate and mechanically enhance a dead body to serve as his host and disguise, though this form remains fragile and prone to decay over time. He demonstrates the ability to transfer his consciousness to a new host, abandoning Yakumo's decaying body to possess Jun Kagami. In combat, his fighting style emphasizes precision and efficiency, belying his logical personality. Interestingly, despite his name being Fist, he primarily utilizes long-range energy beam attacks. His powers become particularly formidable when combined with Alma, allowing him to inherit the abilities of Ordela.
