Chinatsu Yuuki, a fourth-grade elementary student and childhood friend of Kotaro Kirigakure, frequently clashes with him over his prankster tendencies. Though their relationship brims with bickering, she secretly admires Kotaro’s heroic alter ego, Yellow Ganbar, oblivious to their shared identity. As a school newspaper photographer, she eagerly documents the Ganbar Team’s exploits, determined to capture their deeds for her articles.

Fueled by ambitions of becoming a journalist, she relentlessly chases sensational scoops, often placing this mission above other obligations. Her tenacity sometimes sparks conflicts with peers, though her motives stem from curiosity and a steadfast sense of duty. Trained in aikido, she employs the martial art defensively when facing threats.

Beyond Kotaro, she nurtures friendships with classmates Yurika Komaki and Katsura Takeda. A narrative thread follows her younger sister, Akie Yuuki, a preschooler bonded with Tetsuya, brother of Rikiya Ryuzaki. Though a supporting figure, Chinatsu’s role underscores the divide between the Ganbar Team’s public image and hidden identities, navigating a complex interplay of rivalry with Kotaro and reverence for his heroic guise.
