Yurika Komaki is a gentle, ladylike, quiet, and serious fourth-grade student in class 4-1 at Aozora Elementary School. She lives with her family, who operate a hospital. Yurika takes violin lessons with her classmate, Yousuke Kazamatsuri, sharing that connection though unaware of his romantic feelings for her. After being rescued by the superhero Blue Ganbar, unaware he is Yousuke's alter ego, she develops romantic feelings for the hero, creating a distinct separation between her admiration for Blue Ganbar and her friendship with Yousuke. Near the series' conclusion, following the resolution of major conflicts, Yurika learns Yousuke is Blue Ganbar. This revelation resolves the previous disconnect in her feelings.
