Description
Labick is a primary antagonist in the anime Entaku no Kishi Monogatari: Moero Arthur. He is the ruler of a rival kingdom and the driving force behind much of the conflict in the story. Labick is a cold, ambitious, and ruthless monarch who seeks to conquer all of Britain and seat himself as its supreme ruler. His motivation stems from a lust for power and a deep-seated envy of the royal line of Camelot, particularly King Uther and later his son Arthur.

Labick's background is marked by treachery: he allies with the witch Medessa and uses her dark magic to orchestrate the murder of King Uther and Queen Igraine, Arthur's parents. This act leaves the young Arthur orphaned and sets the entire plot in motion. After the assassination, Labick attempts to seize the throne of Camelot, but his plans are thwarted when Arthur, guided by Merlin, pulls the sword Excalibur from the stone and is proclaimed the true king.

Throughout the first part of the series, Labick serves as the main villain who constantly challenges Arthur's claim to the crown. He commands a black knight army and uses deception, force, and alliances with evil sorceresses to try to eliminate Arthur and his growing band of knights. His relationship with Medessa is one of mutual convenience: she supplies him with magical power and counsel, while he provides military might and a path to domination.

Labick's personality is defined by arrogance and a refusal to accept anyone else as his equal. He is intelligent and manipulative, but his pride often leads him to underestimate his opponents, especially Arthur's determination and the unity of the Round Table. He shows no mercy toward enemies and treats his own subordinates as tools.

In terms of notable abilities, Labick is a skilled warrior in his own right, capable of leading troops and engaging in combat directly. However, his primary strength lies in his strategic cunning and his willingness to use underhanded methods, including assassination, betrayal, and dark sorcery.

Later in the story, after being believed dead, Labick reappears under the identity of the Viking King, a powerful warlord leading a massive invasion. This second phase of the series shows his resilience and his continued obsession with destroying Arthur and conquering the land. His character undergoes minimal personal growth, remaining a steadfast villain whose core drives are unchanging.

Labick's key relationships include his antagonistic rivalry with Arthur, his partnership with Medessa, and his conflict with the knights of the Round Table, especially Lancelot and Tristan. He is also the figure responsible for the death of Arthur's parents, giving their confrontation a deeply personal dimension. Ultimately, Labick represents the forces of tyranny and evil that Arthur must overcome to fulfill his destiny as the rightful king and unify Britain.
