Appearing in the 1996 *GeGeGe no Kitarō* anime, Ittan Momen features a slimmer, more wrinkled physical design while retaining his signature white cloth-like form and visible eyes. He speaks using a Kyushu dialect. His core function within the Kitarō team remains aerial transportation, frequently carrying Kitarō, Sunakake-Babaa, Konaki-Jijii, and others across distances. He transports multiple yōkai simultaneously, though his endurance limits this over very long distances or with excessive weight. In combat, he often suffers cuts or tears requiring repair by sewing. A recurring comedic trait sees characters mistake the trailing end of his body for a handkerchief, unintentionally using it to wipe away sweat. He exhibits a strong dislike for flies and displays attraction to particularly beautiful kimonos. Interpersonally, he frequently employs constriction to punish Nezumi-Otoko for misbehavior. During an encounter with the vampire Pii and associate Monroe, Medama-Oyaji cautioned him against displaying excitement reminiscent of Nezumi-Otoko's behavior around attractive women.
