Description
Belda Norst Limia is the first prince of the Limia Kingdom. He is a handsome young man with a cool and generally serious demeanor, often presenting himself as a knight. However, he also has an opportunistic and somewhat impulsive side that can lead to failures.

His primary motivation becomes clear upon meeting the summoned hero Hibiki Otonashi, as he falls in love with her at first sight. To be near her, he uses his connections to infiltrate the group of candidates seeking to join her party, introducing himself as a promising newcomer from the knights. Hibiki quickly sees through this pretense and recognizes his privileged background. Despite this, he is chosen as a party member because his knightly skills, while not exceptional, are adequate for the role.

Within Hibiki's party, Belda serves a specific function as a defender. He has mastered defensive sword techniques and primarily acts as the protector of the rear-guard members, such as Woody and Chia. As they continue to face greater challenges, he increasingly finds his abilities insufficient. He struggles to keep pace with Hibiki and Woody, and his defensive techniques prove ineffective against the most powerful monsters.

Belda’s role extends beyond combat due to his royal blood. He is expected to act as a future king and possesses a fair amount of political knowledge. This awareness is shown when the priestess Chia pleads to join Hibiki's party; Belda immediately fears the political friction this could cause between the Limia Kingdom and the Laurel Federation. This political consciousness also fuels his fury toward the protagonist, Makoto Misumi (also known as Raidou), whose dealings with the demon tribe Belda condemns as a betrayal of humanity.

His relationships, particularly with his family, are key to his development. His sister Joshua recognizes his efforts but bluntly points out that he has only mediocre talent. After a second fierce battle with the demon tribe and a direct attack on the royal capital, their father, the king, who had previously turned a blind eye to Belda’s actions, insists that he step forward as his successor. This leads to a fierce argument with Joshua, who argues that he should support Hibiki through political means rather than military action. The argument culminates in a shocking revelation: a replacement to partner with Hibiki has already been arranged, forcing Belda to confront his own limitations and his future. Later in the story, he is also shown to evolve in his personal beliefs, particularly his initial view that demi-humans are inferior, a perspective he begins to change after certain encounters.
