Description
Princess Alme, also rendered in some materials as Princess Alma, is a supporting character in the second season of the anime To Your Eternity. She is the princess of Renril, a royal capital city that becomes central to the story when the immortal being Fushi and his companions arrive there to confront the Nokkers, a hostile force that preys on human communities.

In appearance, Alme is a graceful young woman who almost always keeps her face hidden behind a cloth or veil. Her clothing is elegant and reflects her royal position, and she wears a necklace and bracelets as part of her attire. Her long hair is tied up, which gives her a composed and dignified look. The constant covering of her face contributes to her reserved and somewhat mysterious presence, especially when she first encounters outsiders.

Alme’s personality is marked by caution and skepticism. When Fushi, Bonchien Nicoli la Tasty Peach Uralis, and their group come to Renril to warn of an imminent Nokker attack and offer their help, she receives them with suspicion rather than open trust. Her wariness makes sense given her position: she is responsible for the safety of an entire city and cannot afford to accept strangers at face value. As the situation develops and the threat becomes more concrete, her attitude gradually shifts. She comes to recognize the sincerity and strength of Fushi and his allies, and she becomes more willing to cooperate with them in preparing the city’s defenses. As the decisive battle with the Nokkers draws near, she takes an active role in the preparations, including introducing Fushi to a key figure who can assist in the coming fight.

Her role in the story is primarily that of a ruler and facilitator rather than a combatant. As princess of Renril, she holds the authority to organize the city's response to the invasion, and her decisions directly shape how Fushi and the others are able to operate. She does not have supernatural abilities of the kind possessed by Fushi or the Nokkers. Instead, her influence comes from her royal status, her composure under pressure, and her growing commitment to protecting the people under her care.

Alme’s most significant personal connection is with Messar, who is her half-brother. Beyond that family tie, the most important relationships in her arc are with Fushi and Bon, since her interactions with them drive her change from a distrustful leader into a cooperative and decisive one. Later, after her life in the world comes to an end, she is faced with a choice about what comes next. Rather than remaining behind in the lingering state that some souls occupy, she decides to pass on to Paradise, a decision that reflects her acceptance of death and her readiness to let go of the past.

Her development across the arc shows a character who starts out guarded, isolated by her position and her reluctance to trust outsiders, and grows into someone capable of forming genuine alliances and making selfless choices. Her final decision to move on rather than remain attached to the world completes that transformation, presenting her as a figure who ultimately chooses peace and release over clinging to what has been lost.
