Description
Dracolul is a fictional character from the 2021 Japanese animated film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021. He serves as the secondary antagonist and holds the rank of colonel within the military forces of the PCIA, acting as the second-in-command to the primary villain, General Gilmore.
As a commander, Dracolul is depicted as a cruel and sinister figure who operates with a notable level of cunning and tactical intelligence. His primary motivation throughout the story is to carry out General Gilmore's orders to eliminate President Papi, a small alien ruler who has fled his home planet of Pirika after a military coup. To this end, Dracolul leads his troops on a persistent chase across the galaxy, eventually tracking Papi to Earth.
In the narrative, Dracolul plays the role of a persistent and threatening pursuer. When his forces locate Papi on Earth, they cause destruction, including damaging the toys of Nobita's friend Suneo. This incident draws the main group of Earth children into the conflict. Dracolul's key strategic action involves capturing Shizuka, one of the main characters, and holding her hostage. This forces the young President Papi to surrender himself in exchange for her freedom, allowing Dracolul to successfully bring him back to Pirika for a planned execution.
Dracolul does not act alone. His key relationship is with General Gilmore, the leader of the coup, whom he serves with loyalty and obedience. His primary adversaries are the group of Earth children led by Nobita and Doraemon, as well as the Pirikan rebel forces fighting against Gilmore's regime. He also directly interacts with Papi's friend, a talkative pilot named Rokoroko. Dracolul demonstrates his tactical skill by using Rokoroko's non-stop talking to track the group after their invisibility device wears off, leading to their capture.
Throughout the film, Dracolul shows little to no character development, remaining a steadfast enforcer of the dictatorship until the very end. His role in the story concludes when the Earth children, who have been shrunk to a tiny size, begin to grow back to their normal stature. This event allows them to overpower Dracolul and his forces. In the final confrontation, he is interrogated about General Gilmore's whereabouts but is unable to provide an answer, presumably because he does not know. He is last implied to be taken into custody for his crimes alongside his superior.
As for notable abilities and equipment, Dracolul commands a vast army of soldiers and pilots advanced military spacecraft, which he uses to travel between Pirika and Earth. His effectiveness as an antagonist is largely derived from his strategic mind; he is specifically noted for being able to analyze the technology of Doraemon and the others, successfully finding weaknesses in their miniature tank-like vehicles. While he does not possess supernatural powers, his role as a military commander and his ruthless, calculating nature make him a formidable obstacle for the protagonists.
