Description
Michiko Tendo is a Public Safety Devil Hunter from the Kyoto branch of the organization. She is a tall woman with brown hair tied back in a messy ponytail with long side bangs reaching past her shoulders. A prominent horizontal scar crosses her face, a feature she shares with her partner Yutaro Kurose. She typically wears the standard Public Safety Devil Hunter uniform.

In terms of personality, Tendo is noticeably more serious and composed than her partner. She often acts as the straight man to Kurose's more easygoing attitude, maintaining a professional and focused demeanor on the job without being cold or harsh. This disciplined approach reflects her commitment to her duties as a devil hunter.

Tendo's primary motivation stems from her past: she became a Public Safety Devil Hunter after the Gun Devil ruined her life, a common driving force among characters in the organization. Her role in the story involves being dispatched from Kyoto to Tokyo alongside Kurose to support Special Division 4 following the events of the Katana Man attack. The pair are assigned as bodyguards to Denji and also coordinate the transfer of the Angel Devil to Tokyo. Tendo plays a key part in helping Aki Hayakawa obtain a contract with the Future Devil, assisting in that operation.

Her key relationship is with Yutaro Kurose, her partner from the Kyoto division, with whom she works closely on missions. She also interacts with Aki Hayakawa, Denji, and other members of Special Division 4, including challenging Aki's resolve when necessary. It is known that Tendo is contracted with the Punishment Devil, though the specific abilities granted by this contract are not deeply explored in the story. She is implied to be a capable and trusted devil hunter with combat experience, enough to be involved in high-risk operations.

In terms of development, Tendo appears during the International Assassins arc. Her story ends when she is killed by the three American devil hunter brothers, shot to death while returning from Kyoto as an escort. Her death serves as a sudden and grim reminder of the dangers faced by even professional devil hunters. Given her limited screen time, Tendo does not undergo a significant arc of personal change, but she is remembered as a serious, professional, and competent supporting character who exemplifies the everyday heroes working within the Public Safety organization.
