Description
Meirin Kanzaki uncovered her Feng Shui divination talents in early youth, refining them until she launched an online advice service as the pseudonymous "Dr. Rin." This secret identity amassed substantial popularity, unintentionally diverting clients from her father's Feng Shui enterprise and demanding family secrecy. Her brother Koumi supported her by managing the website and shielding her activities from their parents.

She bears a protective hakke crystal gifted by her grandfather, which instinctively summons the dragon god Shenlong to fend off dangers. Later, she mastered deliberate activation of this power to assist others proactively—a skill tied to her prior existence as the Priestess of Light.

Her core drive stems from enduring affection for Asuka Yuki, a soccer teammate and childhood friend. Though she persistently aids him through Feng Shui, he dismisses her guidance due to skepticism of the supernatural. Their bond originated when his stray soccer ball struck her, an incident she deemed fateful.

Romantic complications emerged with Takashi Tokiwa, a transfer student and Byakko's reincarnation, who initially courted her aggressively. Controlled by a malevolent force, Tokiwa used shikigami assaults and arson to eliminate Asuka and pressure her affections. After an exorcism freed him, Tokiwa became an ally and joined Asuka's soccer team, though he retained flirtatious overtures toward her.

Her greater destiny requires leading the Four Gods—reincarnations of Seiryuu (Asuka), Byakko (Tokiwa), Genbu (Banri Shijou), and Suzaku (Eddy Tsukioka)—to uphold their ancient role as her guardians. This culminates in a decisive battle where her bond with Asuka proves critical: their kiss counteracts antagonist Kyoumi's cataclysmic spell, reinstating equilibrium.

Daily life involves school dynamics with close companions Yue Konishi and Shuuko Kasukabe. Yue delivers pragmatic counsel and emotional stability, while Shuuko supplies levity via fervent crushes. Family exchanges feature her mother Emika's retired wrestling history and her father Shou's lighthearted rivalry with the anonymous "Dr. Rin."

She tends to a pet monkey, Tenshin, who sporadically encounters supernatural entanglements like possession by Tokiwa's shikigami.
