Description
Kyousuke Jin serves as the Gear Master and Gear Fighter for the Tobita Club, renowned for his technical skills in building, tuning, and customizing Crush Gears. His signature Gears are Dino Spartan and its upgraded form, Dino Phalanx. He sports black hair and eyes, typically wearing a red bandanna, round glasses, a yellow neck bandanna, beige overalls over a green shirt, yellow-and-olive sneakers, and a light blue bucket hat outdoors.

Previously, Kyousuke was part of Team Griffon with Kuroudo Marume; their consistent wins earned them the nickname "The Dynamic Duo." Their friendship shattered when Kyousuke secretly installed a performance-enhancing microchip in Kuroudo’s Shooting Mirage before a match. Kuroudo detected the tampering mid-battle, accused Kyousuke of cheating, and cut off contact. Kyousuke left Team Griffon two weeks later, retreating to a workshop in his father Kousuke Jin's ironworks factory basement. There, he focused solely on Gear customization, harboring deep resentment toward Gear Fighters, whom he called "the lowest form of human life." His father, a superintendent at a NASA-affiliated ironworks factory, provided the workshop space.

Kyousuke joined the Tobita Club after challenges from Kouya Marino and Jirou Oriza. Personality-wise, he exhibits emotional volatility, frequently pounding tables during modifications and displaying boastfulness, especially toward rival Kishin Okawa. He is quick-tempered, cries after losses or stress, and reacts fearfully to unexpected encounters, often labeling others "scary creatures" or "devils." He also dislikes animals, particularly dogs. Despite lone-wolf tendencies, he relies heavily on Kouya, the sole person able to calm his outbursts. A significant shift occurs when he sacrifices a victory to aid a friend, demonstrating newfound loyalty.

Across tournaments, Kyousuke faces Kishin multiple times. He initially wins against him in the Manganji Cup but loses subsequent rounds after deploying a microchip tactic. Later, Takeshi Manganji recruits him to a Hokkaido research lab, leading Tobita Club members to mistakenly perceive his departure as betrayal. There, he analyzes Kouya’s Garuda Eagle data, unaware Takeshi exploits it to identify weaknesses. After discovering the data theft, Kyousuke helps Kouya delete the information. In the Buthokan Cup finals against Kishin, Dino Spartan is destroyed by Kishin’s Comet attack. He later defeats Kishin at Ganryujima by leveraging environmental winds and refining Dino Spartan’s design, earning Kishin’s respect.

At the Asia Cup, Kyousuke initially fears Lan Fang due to Kuroudo’s misleading claim about Chinese opera performers, but develops an infatuation with her. During the World Cup, his Dino Phalanx unintentionally destroys Lan Fang’s Tiger Flare just before a match conclusion. Kyousuke is the only Tobita member not to battle a regional champion in the World Cup.

As Gear Master, Kyousuke engineers significant creations including the VT Chassis and rear weapon for Kouya’s Garuda Phoenix, Beetle Dash wheels for Jirou, and collaborative builds with Kuroudo: Dino Phalanx and Shooting Phantom. His technical innovations directly contribute to the Tobita Club’s competitive progression, cementing his role as both strategist and inventor.
