Description
Shintaro Umakai, a former Japanese diplomat in Russia, returned to Japan after his departure ignited a conflict with his ex-fiancée Sophia, leading her to join Grigori Rasputin’s Russian Spiritual Corps. He accepted a teaching post at Amanohara Girls' School, unaware it functioned aboard the flying battleship *Amanohara*. His assignment involved educating the Lime Unit – five teenage girls wielding supernatural Konjiki abilities to pilot spiritual mechas called Raimu.
Initially a civilian teacher, he abruptly assumed command of the Lime Unit following Lieutenant Commander Masanosuke Date’s sacrificial death protecting Sarasa Honda during an attack.
