Michael Suzuki is a wealthy corporate magnate and the primary antagonist. He owns and funds Aquapolis, a large Tokyo water park nearing its opening. His public persona leverages significant influence and resources, collaborating with law enforcement on high-profile security operations, notably transporting valuable photographic plates named Tatsumi and Inui. These plates are rumored to reveal the location of the Tokugawa family treasure, worth trillions.
His past includes involvement in genetic engineering research. Suzuki previously worked with Maria Isshiki's father, a scientist specializing in DNA manipulation. After her father objected to Suzuki's unethical applications—creating enhanced soldiers for military profit—Suzuki had him killed to seize control of their findings. He continued the experiments in a secret corporate laboratory, focusing on genetic modification to produce super-soldiers with psychic abilities.
Suzuki orchestrates elaborate criminal schemes beyond corporate manipulation. He fakes his own kidnapping during the Aquapolis opening. Under the guise of a terrorist hostage crisis, he demands ransom and a getaway jet from officials, using this as a diversion to test cloning technology. During the event, he employs a body double clone as a decoy while impersonating his own bodyguard to evade capture and negotiate illicit arms deals with foreign entities.
His interest in Maria stems from her unique genetic makeup; childhood experimental treatments by her father altered her DNA, granting limited precognitive abilities. Suzuki aims to harvest her genetic material to mass-produce psychically enhanced soldiers for sale to global militaries and criminal organizations, perpetuating warfare for profit. He orders her kidnapping and confinement for forced extraction, viewing her solely as a commodity.
Suzuki eliminates obstacles ruthlessly. He attempts to kill Lupin III and Fujiko Mine via elevator gas attacks, orders indiscriminate fire on Zenigata and Maria during their escape, and opens fire on his own henchmen during a plane confrontation. His downfall occurs when his true identity is exposed during a clandestine meeting with international buyers. After Lupin steals both the photographic plates and his DNA samples, Zenigata and the police arrest him.
