Description
Jururu is a central character who appears at the beginning of the third season of the anime. She is initially introduced as a mysterious baby who suddenly falls from the sky and lands at the PriPara Inn. Her first encounter is with the idol Laala Manaka, whom she immediately begins calling Mama. This unexpected event leads Laala to take on the role of caretaker, deciding to raise Jururu while searching for her real mother.

Jururu has a distinctive and cute appearance. She has short, pastel green hair with a small portion pulled into a curled bun on top of her head, secured with a bow that resembles Laala's. Her eyes are light fuchsia, and she has white eyelash-like markings above each eye. Her outfit is a simple white one-piece dress with a badge sewn onto the chest, and she wears a pair of pale blue headphones on a gold band. When she needs to rest, she sleeps inside a special compact-like carrier that Laala keeps with her.

In terms of personality, Jururu behaves much like a typical infant. She is mischievous and playful, often appearing and disappearing unexpectedly, which causes confusion and humorous situations for Laala and her friends. She is prone to crying easily and will fuss or cry whenever Laala denies being her mother. Despite her baby-like demeanor, she has a great love for music and enjoys listening to it. She also shows a fondness for certain foods, particularly peaches and cotton candy.

The central mystery of Jururu's identity is the driving force behind much of the third season's plot. As the story progresses, it is revealed that Jururu is no ordinary baby. She is actually the goddess Juri in a transformed state. Juri, a goddess who presides over PriPara, had a strong desire to become an idol herself. To fulfill this dream, she used her power to turn herself into a baby so she could start over and experience life as an idol from the beginning. This transformation was not without consequence, as it also accidentally affected her twin sister, the goddess Johnny's, turning her into a baby as well. This revelation casts Jururu in the role of a final boss for the season, though her actions stem from a personal wish rather than malice.

Jururu's role in the story is complex. On the surface, she serves as a charge for Laala and her friends, who take turns caring for her. The act of caring for Jururu allows other characters like Non and Mirei to show their nurturing sides. However, Jururu is also the key to unlocking the Divine Idol Grand Prix. The device she carries, called the Rosette Pact, is central to this competition. When an idol performs a live that satisfies Jururu, she will occasionally transform back into her goddess form, Juri, and bestow special rewards upon them, such as God Idol coordination tickets or the ability to perform a new level of live show. Her cries and needs often dictate the flow of events.

Throughout the season, Jururu undergoes significant development. She begins as a helpless baby who can only cry and cause trouble, but over time she begins to grow, learning her first word, "momo," which means peach. In episode 112, she takes her first steps, marking a clear progression in her physical development. This gradual growth parallels her internal journey. Her ultimate motivation is to achieve her dream of becoming a God Idol. By the end of the season, after her identity is fully known, she resolves to pass on her position as a goddess to her sister, Johnny's, so that she can leave PriPara and pursue her own dream of being an idol freely.

Jururu also has notable abilities connected to her true identity as a goddess. Her primary ability is the transformation between her baby form, Jururu, and her adult goddess form, Juri. This transformation is often triggered by powerful live performances. As Juri, she has the authority and power to grant other idols access to higher levels of performance and special coordination items. Even in her baby form, she is unique because she is able to leave the confines of PriPara and exist in the human world, a trait that distinguishes her from other beings like the idol dolls. Her key relationships are primarily with Laala, whom she views as her mother and forms the strongest bond with, as well as her twin sister Johnny's, and the other main idols who take on the responsibility of caring for her throughout the series.
