Description
Tetsuya Azuma, also known as Casshern or Casshan, begins as the son of scientist Dr. Kotaro Azuma. In the 1973 "Neo-Human Casshern" series, Tetsuya willingly undergoes cybernetic transformation to fight an android army after his father's first creation, BK-1 (Buraiking Boss), rebels due to a lightning strike. This process fuses Tetsuya's human consciousness with an invincible android body, granting superhuman strength, speed, and agility. His form features a retractable face mask, waist-mounted pulsar propellers enabling flight, and a solar panel requiring regular recharging for sustained combat. Buraiking Boss captures Tetsuya's mother, Midori, transferring her consciousness into a robotic swan. Tetsuya partners with Luna Kozuki, armed with an electromagnetic gun, and Friender—a robotic dog rebuilt from his deceased pet, Lucky, capable of transforming into vehicles. Casshern's primary weakness is his dependence on solar energy.
