Nazalloff, a Russian mob boss, relentlessly pursues immense wealth and power through his international organization, deploying significant resources and mercenaries. His primary objective centers on acquiring Christopher Columbus's diary, stolen from a museum, which supposedly reveals the location of a legendary New World treasure. To achieve this, Nazalloff manipulates a young woman named Leticia by exploiting her connection to a diary-deciphering scholar and holding her grandfather hostage. He commands operations from a heavily armed, luxurious yacht stationed in the Caribbean.
Ruthless and uncompromising, Nazalloff employs extreme force without hesitation, ordering violent retaliation against opposition or betrayal. Upon discovering the treasure—an ancient solar-powered energy weapon hidden within a Mayan pyramid—he escalates his ambitions, planning to wield it as a weapon of mass destruction against a major city to demonstrate its power and cement his dominance. This pursuit brings him into direct conflict with Arsène Lupin III and his associates. Nazalloff personally confronts them inside the pyramid but perishes during the ensuing chase, falling victim to one of the structure's deadly traps.
Nazalloff's documented history remains confined to the events of "Lupin III: Episode 0: First Contact," also known as "The Columbus Files."
