Description
Kichiza Abashiri is the youngest member of the Abashiri family, appearing as a small child with a perpetually mean or sullen look on his face. Despite his youth and small stature, he is a full participant in the family's criminal activities. Unlike his more physically powerful siblings, Kichiza does not rely on brute strength or hand-to-hand combat. His primary expertise lies in the use of explosives, and he is known as a master of deceptive tactics involving gunpowder. His most notable tool is a special piece of cloth that serves as both a disguise and a detonable explosive device.

In the story, Kichiza acts as a crucial strategic asset to the Abashiri family. He demonstrates his abilities during major operations, such as a bank heist, where his explosive cloth is used to blow open a vault door and disarm an adversary. His role becomes particularly vital during the family's conflict at the Paradise School. After being absent for a significant portion of the conflict, he reappears at a critical moment to turn the tide. Using his explosives, he eliminates several enemy teachers and disrupts the plans of the main antagonists, allowing his sister Kikunosuke to confront the final opponent. This action underscores his function as a strategic resource who can resolve seemingly overwhelming situations through his unique skills.

Kichiza is the half-brother of Kikunosuke and the other Abashiri children, all of whom share the same father, Daemon Abashiri. His relationship with his siblings is central to his role, as he operates as a supporting member of the family unit. While not a frontline fighter, he is present during the family's chaotic and often comedic interactions, such as spying on his sister or participating in family celebrations. However, his core purpose remains tied to his explosive expertise, and he is depicted as consistently using his abilities to serve the family's goals.

His abilities are highly specific and specialized. He is an expert in the use of gunpowder-infused clothing, which he can detonate at will. His primary weapon is a special cloth he wears, which he can remove and wrap around targets or objects to cause an explosion. Daemon Abashiri explicitly identifies him as a master of explosives. This skill makes him indispensable for tasks requiring demolition, sabotage, or creating diversions, compensating for his lack of physical fighting prowess compared to his older siblings. His character design, particularly his appearance as a young boy with a mask, was later reused by creator Go Nagai for characters in other series, such as Junpei Hayami in Cutie Honey.
