Description
Leon Olfa is a holy knight of the Kingdom of Karelia and the older brother of Leone Olfa. He holds a special-class Rune, the highest rank of magical imprint, and wields a powerful Artifact that allows him to summon and command a lightning beast in battle. Early in his career, he served alongside Rafael Billford as a fellow holy knight and was partnered with the hieral menace Eris during his time as a knight.

On the surface, Olfa presents himself as an easygoing, lighthearted man who jokes often and treats even strangers with casual friendliness. He appears to flatter greedy and incompetent nobles, but this behavior is a deliberate act to reduce friction between the aristocracy and the holy knights. In truth, he is deeply serious about protecting the kingdom and its people, and he is willing to risk his life for that cause. However, his experiences as a holy knight gradually breed resentment. He becomes unhappy with the reality that knights must rely on the favor of the Highlanders—the ruling elite from the floating continent—to fight against the Magic Stone Beasts. He views this dependency as unfair and limiting for ordinary people who wish to defend their world on their own terms.

This discontent drives him to eventually betray the kingdom. He abandons his post, becomes a member of the rebel organization known as the Steelblood Front, and turns against his former comrades. His defection casts a stain on the Olfa family name, causing them to be shunned and distrusted by society. His sister Leone, who looks up to him, is forced to bear the weight of his betrayal and vows to redeem their family honor by becoming a knight and arresting him.

As an antagonist, Olfa serves as a direct foil and adversary to his sister, and his actions set much of Leone’s personal story in motion. He is also a recurring threat to Inglis Eucus and her friends as the Steelblood Front’s plans unfold. His character develops from a respected protector of the realm into a disillusioned rebel whose motives stem from a belief that the existing system is corrupt and stifling. Despite his turn to villainy, he retains his martial prowess and his unwavering commitment to the cause he now champions.
