Description
Pistolero is the name given to the nameless gunslinger who serves as the main protagonist of Sukiyaki Western Django; in the original production the character is credited simply as the Gunman. He is a wandering gunfighter with no revealed past, evoking the classic Man with No Name archetype. He is presented as a solitary, taciturn, and emotionally scarred figure who possesses exceptional skill with firearms, and his background is deliberately left mysterious so that the story centers on his actions rather than his history.
He arrives in the town of Yuta, a community torn apart by the rival white-clad Genji clan and the red-clad Heike clan, and is courted by both factions, each hoping to recruit him for their war.
