Description
Manami Kamijō is a young woman who becomes aware of a long-standing family obligation: a member of the Saeki family must marry into a major corporation, the Saeki Group. Believing herself to be the lowest-ranked candidate for this arrangement, she is surprised to learn that her designated fiancé is none other than Nishina Akito, her direct superior at work. This premise places her at the center of a workplace romance where duty and personal feelings intersect. Her initial stance is one of resignation and low self‑confidence, as she considers herself an unlikely choice. Over the course of the story, she grows from a passive participant into someone who actively navigates her unexpected betrothal, developing a deeper relationship with Nishina. Her personality is characterized by a quiet, somewhat self‑effacing nature, which gradually gives way to more assertive emotions as she contends with the pressures of the arranged marriage and her professional life. The central relationship in her narrative is with Nishina Akito, whose authoritative yet caring presence challenges her insecurities and helps her evolve. Notable abilities or special skills are not highlighted; instead, her personal growth and emotional journey form the core of her character. Manami appears as the female lead of one self‑contained episode within the anthology series, and her story follows a classic arranged‑marriage romance arc.
