TV-Series
Description
Hym le pion is an antagonist turned ally from the series, originally serving as a member of Hadlar's Royal Guard. This elite group is composed of five living beings created from orichalcum chess pieces brought to life through forbidden magic, with Hym being born from the pawn piece. He is a close-quarters combatant whose body is forged from the divine metal orichalcum, granting him a lean, muscular, and bald humanoid form that shines like silver. True to his nature as a pawn, he holds the latent potential for "promotion," which fundamentally alters his being.
In terms of personality, Hym initially embodies cruelty, violence, and an unwavering, almost obsessive loyalty to his master, Hadlar. He has an aggressive and hot-headed demeanor, driven by a powerful fighting spirit that was inherited directly from Hadlar upon his creation. He is ferociously proud and will attack anyone who insults his master, though he also possesses a sense of honor, fighting fairly against those he deems worthy. His most defining early trait is an intense and stubborn rivalry with the dark knight Hyunckel, whom he relentlessly seeks to defeat in combat.
Hym's primary motivation is rooted in his deep admiration for Hadlar, whom he is willing to protect and serve at any cost. This devotion defines his role in the story, as he initially acts as a formidable barrier for the Disciples of Avan. However, his entire purpose is shattered following the death of his master. After Hadlar's demise, Hym undergoes a dramatic transformation. Inheriting the soul and will of his master triggers his latent "promotion" ability. He is reborn as the "Silver-Haired Beast," gaining a full head of long, silver hair like Hadlar and a genuine organic life force. This rebirth shifts his violent obsession to a place of gratitude, allowing him to shed his vengeful nature and develop a genuine, brotherly friendship with his former rival, Hyunckel. He becomes an invaluable ally to the main party in the final confrontation against the Dark King Vearn, driven by a desire for revenge against the one who betrayed his former master.
Regarding abilities, Hym's orichalcum composition makes him incredibly durable and nearly immune to most magical and physical attacks. He is a master martial artist specializing in hand-to-hand combat. His signature technique is the "Heat Knuckle," where he casts a Frizz-type fire spell onto his fists to dramatically enhance his striking power. After his promotion and transformation into the Silver-Haired Beast, his abilities evolve significantly. He loses the use of fire spells but masters the more potent Light Aura, replacing his Heat Knuckle with the immensely powerful "Aura Knuckle". In this advanced state, his physical strength, speed, and durability increase substantially, and he gains access to powerful aura-based techniques such as Grand Cross. His evolved Light Aura becomes a crucial asset in combating the dark forces of Vearn.
