Bachou Mōki is a prominent fighter who makes her first anime appearance in Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor, though she originated as one of the original main characters during the series creation process. She is the counterpart to the historical figure Ma Chao from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. At fifteen years of age, she is a student who initially attends Ryoshu Academy before later transferring to Seito Academy.

In terms of background, Bachou was born into the Mōki clan as the only living child, making her the heir to the clan's magatama, which contains the actual spirit of Ma Chao. Unlike other fighters who enter a dragon state, her power manifests through this spirit taking over her body when she finds her friends seriously injured in an attack, making her extremely powerful and violent. Her initial motivation in Xtreme Xecutor is to avenge her brother Bunyaku Kansui, who was apparently fatally injured in a fight against Mōtoku Sōsō. She infiltrates Kyosho Academy searching for Sōsō, easily dodging or defeating anyone in her path, including Sōjin.

Her personality is characterized as ditzy, brash, and aggressive, often acting without thinking things through. She shares many traits with other characters, being a caring but somewhat unaware girl who is impetuous to the point of recklessness and oblivious to her own limitations until they bring her crashing down. Despite this, she is a very strong fighter who looks up to Sonsaku Hakufu as a mentor and sometimes trains with her. She has a strong fear of snakes, though she temporarily overcomes this phobia when she helps Hakufu behead a snake during their time in Nanban's lower levels.

Regarding key relationships, Bachou has a notable dynamic with Shuyu Koukin. She calls him a goldfish shit, a metaphor for someone useless who follows a more charismatic person around, and acts like she hates him while actually hiding a semi-mild crush on him. She treats him more nicely after spending time at Nanban and learning what kind of man he truly is. She is found by Gentoku Ryuubi after failing her initial mission and being caught in the rain, with Ryuubi calling her Maa-chan and offering her shelter. After Kentei's disappearance and avenging Hakufu's apparent death at the hands of Teni's explosion arrow, she encounters Sōsō himself and surprisingly listens to everything he says without fail, which leads to her joining Seito Academy.

In terms of development throughout the story, Bachou grows from a revenge-driven girl into someone who finds acceptance and purpose. Her fighting style is graceful and athletic, relying heavily on agile dodges and spinning counter-attacks that bring a musical choreography to her battles. She wears distinctive pink sneakers and gloves that communicate a healthy, unflagging youthful energy, which contrasts with the dark vengeful urges she initially forces upon herself. Her notable abilities include being a leaping, kicking whirlwind in combat, and her awakened state when the spirit of Ma Chao takes over makes her exceptionally powerful and violent, comparable to Hakufu in her dragon state.
