Description
Pierre is an idol affiliated with 315 Production and a member of the unit Beit, alongside Minori Watanabe and Kyoji Takajo. Before joining the agency, he worked part-time as an amusement park mascot, performing inside a full-body Froggie costume that completely hid his appearance. Beneath that costume is a golden-haired young man of notably handsome features, and in truth he is the prince of a certain country. Due to infighting over the succession to the crown, he quietly left his homeland under the pretense of visiting Japan and eventually pursued a life as an idol.
In terms of personality, Pierre is bright and innocent, with a sincere wish to use his own power to bring smiles to everyone around him. He carries the courteous and graceful manner expected of royalty, but his inexperience with ordinary life gives him a gentle, sometimes naive charm. He is usually accompanied by two bodyguards who follow and protect him, although he is fully capable of defending himself; he holds black belts in kendo, judo, and karate. A recurring quirk is his inability to properly say the phrase meaning "you are welcome," which tends to confuse the person he is trying to respond to.
His main motivation is to bring happiness to others through his work as an idol, a goal shaped by both his royal background and his time entertaining guests as a mascot. In the story of Wake Atte Mini!, which depicts the idols of 315 Production in short comedic everyday episodes, Pierre functions as a supporting character whose unusual royal circumstances and innocent reactions provide much of the humor. His key relationships are with his Beit unit mates Minori and Kyoji, with whom he shares stages and daily activities, as well as the loyal bodyguards who accompany him. His development largely revolves around adjusting to life as an ordinary idol and learning to relate to others despite the sheltered, privileged upbringing he came from. His notable abilities include his strong martial arts skills, his experience performing in a costume, and the polite, composed demeanor befitting a prince.
