TV-Series
Description
Atsuya Fubuki appears in Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin as a forward for Inazuma Japan. His presence in this series stems from the alternate timeline established in Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin, where he survived the avalanche that originally took his life. In this version of events, Atsuya is the younger brother of Shirou Fubuki, rather than his twin, and is one year his junior. He is a student of Hakuren Academy, where he plays as the team's ace striker alongside his brother before being selected to represent the national team.

In terms of appearance, Atsuya has distinctive spiky orange hair and green-grey eyes. During the Orion no Kokuin storyline, his casual attire consists of a white t-shirt with two black triangles on the front, a red sports jacket with white sleeves, dark green shorts, and red and white sneakers. He is often seen with a confident and somewhat mischievous expression that reflects his personality.

Personality-wise, Atsuya stands in sharp contrast to his older brother Shirou, who is known for being calm and gentle. Atsuya is impulsive, confident, and headstrong, with a tendency to work alone on the field and attempt to score goals by himself, a trait that sometimes causes friction with his teammates. He is fiercely competitive and has a mischievous, almost cocky demeanor. Despite his often abrasive exterior, the only person he shows complete and unwavering trust in is his brother Shirou. This loyalty is absolute; even when circumstances lead him to believe that Shirou might be a traitor, Atsuya never questions his brother's actions, trusting that Shirou has his own valid reasons.

Atsuya's primary motivation is closely tied to his brother. He is driven to prove himself as a powerful striker and to protect his brother's place on the team. When Shirou is injured during the FFI preliminaries, Atsuya reveals that he already knows about the injury and has come to replace him, vowing to protect Shirou's position so that his brother can return to the team when he is healed. This demonstrates that beneath his brash personality, his actions are fueled by a deep care for his brother and a desire to uphold their shared legacy as soccer players.

In the story of Orion no Kokuin, Atsuya is first seen in the stands during the ceremony where the members of Inazuma Japan are announced, sitting with Shirou and their friend Nae Shiratoya. While Nae is excited, Atsuya appears disinterested in the proceedings. Later, he meets Shirou at the airport before the team departs for Russia, revealing that he knows about Shirou's injury and will be taking his place on the team. He formally joins Inazuma Japan during a training session, intercepting the ball and scoring with his technique while Asuto Inamori, Ryouhei Haizaki, and Yuuma Nosaka are struggling with a new move. It is revealed that Shirou had requested his inclusion, though the coaches had already considered him.

His role on Inazuma Japan is that of a powerful and aggressive forward. He makes his official debut for the team in a match against the Spanish representative team, Muteki no Giant. During this intense match, he showcases his talent but also his limitations, as his initial attempts to score are blocked by the Spanish goalkeeper. In a crucial moment, he agrees to perform a special combination technique with his brother called Hyouketsu no Gungnir, despite knowing it could aggravate Shirou's leg injury. The technique succeeds, scoring Japan's first goal, after which he helps an injured Shirou leave the field.

Atsuya's key relationship is, without a doubt, with his older brother, Shirou. Their dynamic is central to his character. Where Shirou is thoughtful and tactical, Atsuya is direct and instinctual. They were once a perfect defender-forward pair, and even in this timeline, their understanding of each other on the field is nearly telepathic. Atsuya also develops a rivalry with Nae Shiratoya, as both compete for the position of ace striker on their Hakuren team. He also has a confrontational relationship with some of his other Hakuren teammates, such as Souji Mabuka, who questions his value to the team due to his abrasive attitude.

Regarding his development, Atsuya in Orion no Kokuin is already a highly skilled and confident player. Unlike his counterpart in the original Inazuma Eleven series, he does not undergo a traumatic psychological breakdown and fusion with his brother. Instead, his development is more about learning to integrate his aggressive playing style into a team full of other talented and strong-willed individuals. He begins to accept that even as a powerful solo striker, he must work within the team's strategies to succeed against world-class opponents, as seen when he participates in combination plays and decoy tactics.

Notable abilities include his powerful shooting techniques. His signature solo shot is Hissatsu Kumagoroshi Zan, also known as the Deadly Bear Kill, a nod to his incredible physical strength. He is also capable of using the legendary shoot Eternal Blizzard, a technique originally associated with him. In combination with his brother Shirou, he can perform the powerful cooperative hissatsu Hyouketsu no Gungnir. He is also known for his incredible physical feats, such as wrestling and defeating a bear, which earned him the nickname "Atsuya the Bear Catcher".
