OVA
Description
Andy is a robot who is part of the alien acting troupe at the center of the story. His physical appearance is highly unusual, consisting of a single large, spherical eye encased in a capsule, attached to a pair of normal mechanical legs. Notably, the main body is the lower half with the legs, while the eye functions primarily as a sensor. Within the troupe's recreated Earth village on the planet Anika, Andy plays the role of the general store owner, and he also runs a game center and a tavern.

In terms of his role and abilities, Andy serves a crucial function for the entire group. He was responsible for saving the data from the crashed spaceship that belonged to Corona’s biological parents. Using this information, the troupe was able to reconstruct the village of Garo to mimic an Earth environment for the human child. However, because some of this data was damaged in the accident, Andy occasionally makes mistakes when recreating things. He also possesses the ability to change his size at will, being able to grow from a slightly larger form to a giant mecha-like robot, which contributes to the comedy and action of the story.

Andy’s personality is a key source of humor, stemming from a fundamental contradiction. As a robot, he has no emotions and no programming that would prepare him for parenthood, yet he is part of the family raising the young girl Corona. His attempts to be helpful are well-meaning but often clumsy and awkward, leading to destructive or hilarious outcomes, such as plowing through obstacles during a family field day. Despite his lack of emotional programming, his actions show a deep-seated commitment to his found family. His signature deadpan expression only enhances the comedy of his chaotic yet sincere efforts. His primary relationship is with the other members of his troupe, including the maternal Mother, the robotic Father, the skeletal Tah-Kun, and the humanoid Beruka, all of whom work together to care for Corona.
