Description
Badappu Sleed serves as the forward and captain of Team Ogre, a powerful team from a military academy known as Ogre Gakuen. He comes from a distinguished family, as his father is a military general and his mother is a government official expected to become the nation's first female prime minister. This background instilled in him a great sense of pride and a belief that he was destined to lead from a young age, leading to a rigorous education to prepare him for such a role. Due to his father's admiration for a mentor named Hibiki, Badappu was enrolled at Ogre Gakuen, where his exceptional intelligence and physical abilities quickly made him a top student, surpassing both his peers and seniors and being deemed a child prodigy.

In terms of personality, Badappu initially presents himself as a calm and silent individual, maintaining a cool smile that can overwhelm those around him. However, this exterior hides a deep-seated rage, particularly towards soccer. He becomes visibly agitated and angry when anyone speaks positively about the sport, as demonstrated when a character named Kanon Endou makes kind remarks about it. This anger is noted by his superior, Bauzen, who perceives an intense fury within him. Despite this, his true nature is revealed to be kind and passionate, as he is shown to actually love soccer deep down, a fact that emerges through key experiences in the story.

Badappu's motivations and role in the story are closely tied to his military obedience and his mission. He follows orders from his superiors, similar to another character named Alpha. His primary role is as the captain of Team Ogre, and he is a central antagonist in the movie Inazuma Eleven the Movie. He first appears in a future setting, effortlessly defeating numerous minions with a single shot before receiving a special mark on his forehead that signifies his position as the army's leader. He leads Team Ogre in a devastating match against the team Zeus, winning with a crushing score of 36-0, after which he declares that they are "ogres that devour even the gods". During the subsequent match against Raimon, he scores the team's second goal using his powerful technique, Death Spear, which breaks through the goalkeeper's Majin The Hand and injures multiple players.

Badappu has key relationships with several characters. He is subordinate to Drayce Bauzen, who gives him his leadership mark and identifies the anger within him. During his time at Ogre Gakuen, he demonstrated his superiority by defeating Eskaba in a strategy debate, arguing for tactics that would psychologically break an opponent rather than just secure a victory. He also defeated Mistrene in a death battle, after Mistrene developed an inferiority complex towards him. Despite these conflicts, Badappu later chose both Eskaba and Mistrene to be his closest advisors and key members of Team Ogre, recognizing their strategic and physical talents.

The character undergoes significant development, largely through his confrontation with the protagonist, Mamoru Endou. After Endou states that having courage is more important than fighting, Badappu experiences a flashback of himself happily playing soccer with friends. This memory triggers a change of heart, revealing that he is actually a kind person who enjoys the sport. He thanks Endou and moves to shake his hand, but is called back by his superiors. Before leaving, he performs a gesture of hitting his chest twice with his fist, which signifies that he understands Endou's feelings and will continue to play soccer fairly and with true sportsmanship.

As for notable abilities, Badappu is a formidable forward with exceptional offensive skills. In the games, his statistics highlight his powerful kicking ability, which is rated highly, and he is noted as a player who can crush his enemies with a cool smile. His signature hissatsu, or special moves, include the powerful shot Death Spear, which he uses to great effect in the movie. He also possesses other techniques such as Death Break and, in some game versions, moves like Thousand Arrow, Devil Burst, and Dimension Storm. In certain games, he can also use a Keshin (a type of summoned spirit) called Ankoku Shin Dark Exodus and a Soul called Lion.
