This partnership continued into the 21st Chojin Olympics arc. In Kinnikuman Nisei, marketed internationally as Ultimate Muscle, Yoshigai continues as the lead announcer, now paired with the eccentric commentator Nakano, whose unpredictable behavior contrasts with Yoshigai’s straightforward style. The character is inspired by Yoshio Yoshigai, a real-life neighbor of the manga’s creators, and his visual design, particularly his hairstyle, was significantly altered for the original anime adaptation. During the Scramble for the Throne storyline, he was temporarily replaced by Announcer Sekiguchi, but he ultimately remains a familiar fixture at major wrestling events.
