Description
Mole Imagin 1 is one of three Mole Imagin, a troop of hostile Imagin that appear in the film OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders. Like all Imagin, these creatures originate from a lost future and are drawn to the past to alter history through contracts with humans. The Mole Imagin are based on moles and possess a burrowing, subterranean nature. Each member of the trio has a distinct weapon-hand: one wields an axe, another a claw, and the third a drill. Mole Imagin 1 is the axe-wielding variant, characterized by a serious and determined demeanor, in contrast to the more erratic claw-handed member and the flamboyant drill-handed one.
The trio’s primary motivation is to eliminate Kamen Rider Den-O and disrupt the timeline. In the film, they are first encountered by Kamen Rider OOO while attacking in the present day. To escape, they possess a young boy named Naoki and travel back in time to November 1971, triggering the central conflict of the story. Their role is that of initial antagonists whose actions inadvertently allow the evil organization Shocker to acquire a Cell Medal dropped by Ankh, leading to a catastrophic alteration of history. The Mole Imagin are ultimately eliminated in 1971 by Kotaro Nogami as Kamen Rider New Den-O, ending their immediate threat.
Notable abilities include rapid spinning to burrow underground, firing energy beams, and the capacity to possess humans to travel through time. Their weapon-hands also grant them different combat styles: Mole Imagin 1 uses its axe for powerful slashing attacks. As a group, they work in coordination, but their differing personalities can cause friction. They have no significant individual development beyond their brief antagonistic role; after their defeat, they do not reappear in the main narrative. Their key relationship is with one another as a unit, and they serve as a catalyst for the larger struggle between the Kamen Riders and Shocker.
