Description
General Jark is a character who originally appeared as a primary antagonist in the 1988 television series Kamen Rider Black RX. In the 2011 anniversary film OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders, he is among the classic villains who return, appearing in an alternate timeline where the forces of evil have achieved a global conquest. He serves as the military leader of the Crisis Empire, a role that defines his identity and bearing throughout his appearances. As the supreme commander of his empire's invasion army, he carries a long golden staff that can release powerful bolts of yellow electricity, a weapon that underscores his authority and combat capability.

Within the context of Let's Go Kamen Riders, General Jark is depicted as a seasoned and pragmatic military leader. His core motivation differs notably from other villainous factions. While organizations like Shocker seek to rule over humanity, the Crisis Empire, under Jark's leadership, has little interest in domination. Instead, their true goal is to cleanse the planet of humanity entirely. This fundamental ideological difference places him in an uneasy alliance during the film's events. When the Great Leader of Shocker proposes a grand coalition of all evil organizations to solidify their control over the world, General Jark is initially reluctant and dismissive of the idea. He is convinced to collaborate only after the Great Leader argues that they can set aside their differing end goals for the time being, focusing first on securing victory before worrying about what to do with the world afterwards. This portrays him as a figure who, while ruthless, is also strategic and willing to work with rivals for a greater short-term objective.

General Jark's role in the story is primarily as a high-ranking representative of the Crisis Empire within the villains' united front. He stands alongside other iconic evildoers like General Shadow of the Black Satan organization and High Priest Darom of the Gorgom cult during the councils that plan the empire's next moves. At one point, he is part of a force led by General Shadow that successfully captures the main heroes, Eiji Hino and Kotaro Nogami, demonstrating his active participation in the conflict against the Kamen Riders. His presence helps illustrate the sheer scale of the alliance formed against the heroes, bringing together enemies from different eras of the franchise. His fate in this alternate timeline is tied to the immense power of the Great Leader of Shocker, who is forced to transform into a gigantic Rock Great Leader form. As this transformation begins to destabilize and destroy the Earth, General Jark is ultimately destroyed when a massive fissure opens beneath him during the final battle.

Regarding his relationships with other characters, Jark stands as a peer and ally of convenience to other major commanders. He shows a notable lack of personal ambition for power over humans, which sets him apart from some of his more tyrannical counterparts. His primary concern remains serving the interests of the Crisis Empire and its goal of planetary purification. In terms of development, the film does not provide him with an arc, as he remains a consistent representation of the classic villain archetype. He is shown to be a capable and dangerous fighter, though his defeat comes from the cataclysmic environment rather than a direct confrontation with a Rider. His notable abilities include superhuman strength and durability befitting a high-ranking alien general, proficient use of his electric staff in combat, and the authority to command legions of Crisis Empire troops. The character is a callback to a previous era of Kamen Rider, serving the anniversary film's purpose of bringing together a wide array of villains to challenge the assembled heroes.
