Description
Marika Reimon, known by the nickname Jasmine and designated as Deka Yellow, is an officer of the Earth Branch of the Special Police Dekaranger. As a psychic or ESPer, she possesses the abilities of psychometry and telepathy, allowing her to read sensory impressions from objects and locations she touches or visits, as well as sense the thoughts of others through physical contact. These powers are both a gift and a challenge; before joining the Dekarangers, her uncontrolled abilities overwhelmed her, leading to isolation and a suicide attempt. She was rescued and recruited by the commander Doggie Kruger, who gave her a sense of purpose and belonging. Through police training and discipline, she has learned to control her powers, and she wears gloves to manage the constant mental strain when not actively using them.

Jasmine is a calm, collected, and determined officer. She has a habit of giving quirky nicknames to the alien criminals the team pursues and occasionally uses outdated Japanese slang, adding a unique touch to her speech. Despite her serious demeanor, she is playful and close with her teammates, especially the female member Umeko Kodou (Deka Pink), whom she treats protectively like a younger sister. She shares a sibling-like banter with the male members of the team. In the story of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger The Movie: Full Blast Action, Jasmine accompanies her partner Banban Akaza (Deka Red) into a nightclub to investigate the Algolian Gas Drinkers gang. Later, when the situation escalates and the alien Marie Gold goes missing with the Golden Snow virus, Jasmine uses her ESPer abilities to track Marie’s whereabouts, leading the team to an abandoned warehouse. In the final battle, she fights alongside Umeko to defeat the alienizer Zeen, contributing to the team’s victory. Her psychic powers are integral to the team’s investigative and combat capabilities, making her a reliable and talented officer whose personal growth from a troubled past to a confident team member is a key part of her character.
