Koume Kodou, better known by her nickname Umeko, is a twenty-year-old officer of the Special Police Dekaranger Earth branch. She is the energetic and cheerful member of the team who transforms into Deka Pink using her SP License and the Change Notebook, wearing the numeric badge 5. Her bright and perky personality makes her a natural mood maker, and she often claims to be the field leader of the group even though the official chain of command rests with Chief Doggie Kruger. Beneath her bubbly and occasionally ditzy exterior lies a genuinely kind heart and deep loyalty to her teammates, and her optimism can pull the squad together during the most desperate moments.
Umeko is instantly recognizable for her love of bubble baths. She takes every opportunity to soak in a tub with her three rubber duck companions, whom she has named Umeyo, Umenosuke, and Umegoro.
