Description
Shen May, a Chinese-American federal agent, served under Wilson's monitoring team during the 2000 Penamstan Civil War. Her younger brother, Jun Shī, participated as part of a U.S. special forces helicopter crew shot down in the conflict. After the Mad Dogs unit disobeyed rescue orders, Jun was discovered heavily wounded and infected. Shen May subsequently learned Wilson commanded a complete cleansing of the area, including survivors, utilizing MK77 incendiary weapons. This revelation drove her to collaborate with Jason, the Mad Dogs unit captain, to expose Wilson's involvement in bioweapon testing and his blackmail of infected soldiers.
By 2006, Shen May served as a federal agent under President Graham. She was summoned alongside Jason, Patrick, and Leon S. Kennedy to investigate a White House hacking incident, where she fought infected attackers during a subsequent outbreak. Their investigation traced the hacked file to a Shanghai-based biology lab, prompting Shen May to join Jason and Leon on a military submarine mission to China. A virus outbreak aboard caused mutated rats to kill most of the crew. Shen May and Jason directed engineers to seal compartments before eliminating the threat and escaping with Leon via an emergency pod.
In Shanghai, Shen May retreated to her grandfather Yu En's residence, where Jun was kept comatose and infected. Yu En had extracted a data chip from Jun's body containing evidence of Wilson's crimes. Confronted by Leon there, Shen May revealed Wilson used infected individuals as blackmailed operatives, exchanging inhibitor medications for covert services. She explained Jason smuggled Jun to China and that the chip held combat data implicating Wilson. During this revelation, the house was bombed, crushing and killing Yu En, Jun, and family associate Hao Ran. Leon rescued Shen May, leaving her without remaining family.
Following this trauma, Shen May agreed to lead Leon to Wilson's underground laboratory beneath a press conference venue. Inside, they encountered a mutated Jason attacking Wilson. Jason infected Wilson before rejecting Shen May's appeals to abandon his plan for global terror. Confronting her on a gantry, Jason broke Shen May's arm and snapped her neck, killing her instantly while her eyes remained open. After her death, Leon recovered the data chip she possessed but chose not to publicize its contents, preventing exposure of Wilson's actions and denying Shen May's goal of achieving justice for her family and the Mad Dogs unit.
