Description
Janet is the localized name used for the character Ai Kaminari, also known as Ai-chan or Yatterman-2, in certain international versions of the series. She is a twelve-year-old girl and the daughter of a renowned electrician named Gorozou. Janet lives a seemingly normal life, appearing in a yellow jumpsuit with a purple leotard and a red cap decorated with a heart motif. However, she is secretly one half of the heroic duo known as the Yatterman. Initially, she helped her boyfriend with the completion of a robotic dog named Yatter-Wan, and shortly after, they both decided to use their skills to fight evil.
In terms of personality, Janet possesses a courageous and noble heart, always striving to protect the innocent. While she can be caring and, at times, sensitive to personal remarks, she also displays a mischievous side and is a much more active fighter than her predecessors. She believes in helping those who seek redemption, but her primary focus is stopping the villainous Dorombo gang. Her motivation is driven by a strong sense of justice, further intensified when the villainess Doronjo begins showing romantic interest in her partner, Gan-chan. This jealousy does not make her hesitate in battle; she is depicted as being capable of defeating crooks with little effort on her own.
As Yatterman-2, Janet turns her clothing inside out to reveal a white or light pink jumpsuit and a red cap bearing the Yatterman insignia, completing the transformation with a purple mask and gloves.
