Description
Nagi lives in Shichigahama, a coastal Miyagi Prefecture town impacted by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. He belongs to a tight-knit circle of friends: Kaito, Michiru, Minato, and Yayoi, a recent transfer from Tokyo.
On March 11, 2011, Nagi attends his junior high graduation ceremony alongside Kaito and Yayoi. Later, sitting by the sea, they experience the earthquake. Nagi immediately flees with his friends to higher ground upon hearing the tsunami warning, an action that ensures their survival. Following the disaster, Nagi resides in temporary housing but is separated from Yayoi when her family relocates to Tokyo due to rebuilding restrictions in their neighborhood.
A decade later, Nagi reunites with Yayoi during her return visit to Shichigahama. He joins the group to observe the town's reconstruction, demonstrating his lasting ties to the community and resilience throughout the recovery period.
