Description
Newton Graceland is a researcher and the foremost expert on the Reverse World, a dimension that exists parallel to the normal Pokémon world. He has studied this realm for five years and developed a deep understanding of its properties and the legendary Pokémon Giratina, the only Pokémon that dwells within it. Newton's fascination with the Reverse World once led him to live there for a period to conduct direct investigations.
Newton's background as a scholar is rooted in a collaborative project with his former assistant, Zero. Together, they built a machine capable of copying Giratina's ability to travel between dimensions, allowing free access to the Reverse World. However, when Newton discovered that the process would cause harm to and potentially sacrifice Giratina, he made the ethical decision to delete the project's blueprints and abandon the machine. This decision created a rift between him and Zero, who later reconstructed the device and sought to use it for his own ambitions.
In the story, Newton first encounters Ash and Dawn after they are pulled into the Reverse World. He rescues them from Giratina and becomes a valuable ally, offering his knowledge and technological expertise to help them stop Zero's plan.
