Description
Sander de Heer is a Dutch voice actor and stage actor with a career spanning several decades, known for providing the Dutch voices for numerous characters in anime series and films. He was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on September 17, 1958. He pursued his artistic education at the Academy of Arts in Utrecht, graduating in 1982, and later attended circus schools in Arnhem and Rome.
Before establishing himself as a prominent voice talent, de Heer built a foundation in live-action performance. He began his career in theater, working with various companies in the Netherlands. His first major television role came in 1990 as Paul de Geeuw in the comedy series Vrienden voor het Leven, which won the Televisierring award that year. He went on to appear in other Dutch television series, including roles in Goudkust, Jansen, Jansen, and the long-running soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen.
De Heer is widely recognized for his extensive work in dubbing foreign productions into Dutch. He has voiced leading characters in major animated franchises. His roles include Mr. Krabs in the Dutch version of SpongeBob SquarePants, Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, and Admiral Zhao in Avatar: The Last Airbender. He has also been the Dutch voice for characters in live-action films, such as Pi in Life of Pi and Mad-Eye Moody in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
