Sander de Heer is a Dutch voice actor and stage actor with a career spanning several decades, known for providing the Dutch voices for numerous characters in anime series and films. He was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on September 17, 1958. He pursued his artistic education at the Academy of Arts in Utrecht, graduating in 1982, and later attended circus schools in Arnhem and Rome.

Before establishing himself as a prominent voice talent, de Heer built a foundation in live-action performance. He began his career in theater, working with various companies in the Netherlands. His first major television role came in 1990 as Paul de Geeuw in the comedy series Vrienden voor het Leven, which won the Televisierring award that year. He went on to appear in other Dutch television series, including roles in Goudkust, Jansen, Jansen, and the long-running soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen.

De Heer is widely recognized for his extensive work in dubbing foreign productions into Dutch. He has voiced leading characters in major animated franchises. His roles include Mr. Krabs in the Dutch version of SpongeBob SquarePants, Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, and Admiral Zhao in Avatar: The Last Airbender. He has also been the Dutch voice for characters in live-action films, such as Pi in Life of Pi and Mad-Eye Moody in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

His contributions to the anime genre are extensive. He voiced Seto Kaiba in various iterations of Yu-Gi-Oh!, including the 1998 television series, the 2000 series, and the film Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie. In the Pokémon franchise, he has held numerous roles across series, films, and specials. These include Damos in Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Giovanni in Pokémon: Mewtwo Returns, Newton Graceland in Pokémon: Giratina & The Sky Warrior, Ravine in Pokémon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram, and Alder in Pokémon: Black and White. He also voiced the specific characters mentioned, such as Gabite in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Archie and Proton in the Pokémon Generations series, and Nurzak in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders. His other notable anime credits include roles in Beyblade, MegaMan NT Warrior, Shaman King, and as Starscream in the Dutch version of the original Transformers series. He has also lent his voice to Dutch dubs of other animated works, such as the film Shinchan.

Beyond screen work, de Heer is an accomplished narrator for audiobooks, having recorded Dutch versions of international bestsellers like The Kite Runner and works by authors such as Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Astrid Lindgren. In 2011, he was awarded De Zilveren Koe in recognition of his significant contributions to the quality of dubbing in the Netherlands.
