Description
Alice is a fictional character from the 2009 film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She is a Decepticon, a member of the faction of hostile Cybertronian robots, and specifically belongs to a sub-group known as Pretenders, which are defined by their ability to disguise themselves as humans. Her primary alternate mode is not a vehicle but the realistic-looking animatronic figure of a human female, a disguise that allows her to pass as a college student.

In the story, Alice is sent by the Decepticons on a mission to monitor and eventually capture Sam Witwicky. Her objective is to get close to him in order to retrieve the Cybertronian symbols and knowledge of the AllSpark that have become embedded in his mind. To accomplish this, she assumes the identity of a fellow student at Princeton University, where Sam has just begun his freshman year.

Personality-wise, Alice is depicted as aggressive, forward, and deeply manipulative. She uses a facade of a charming, flirtatious, and attractive young woman to get close to her target. She is relentless in her pursuit of Sam, employing overtly seductive tactics to gain his trust and isolate him from his friends. Her behavior is direct and forceful, ignoring Sam's clear protests and discomfort as she engineers situations to be alone with him. This artificial persona masks her true nature as a cold and dangerous killer, driven solely by her mission for the Decepticons.

Her primary relationship is with her target, Sam Witwicky. She feigns a strong romantic interest in him, which puts her in direct conflict with his girlfriend, Mikaela Banes, and his roommate, Leo Spitz. Mikaela serves as her main rival, and their confrontation is key to Alice's unmasking. Alice also has a brief, icy interaction with Leo, whom she dismisses and ignores completely as he is not relevant to her mission. Her relationship with her Decepticon masters is purely functional; she is a spy and an operative following orders.

Alice's role in the story is that of an infiltrator and an antagonist. She serves as a personal threat to Sam, designed to infiltrate his new life and separate him from his protector, Bumblebee. She initially appears as a harmless and attractive peer, creating tension in Sam's relationship with Mikaela. This tension escalates dramatically when her true identity is revealed, and she attempts to kill Sam, leading to a chase scene on the university campus. Her failure ultimately results in her destruction at the hands of Mikaela.

Her notable abilities stem from being a Pretender. Her primary skill is her highly advanced holographic disguise, which allows her to look, move, and presumably feel like a human being, though her insides are entirely mechanical. In her true robotic form, she is armed with several weapons, including a long, prehensile tongue that can be used as a whip to strangle her victims. She also possesses a sharp, metallic tentacle that extends from beneath her human guise. Furthermore, she can generate and fire powerful energy blasts from her arms, which she uses to destroy the university library during the chase.

In terms of development, Alice shows no character growth or change. She is a static character who remains singularly focused on her mission from her introduction to her destruction. Some expanded material, such as the official novelization and comic adaptations, provide additional background, explaining that she chose her form by scanning an animatronic Alice in Wonderland figure from an amusement park. These sources also occasionally depict her surviving the events of the film only to be hunted down by the Autobots later.
