Description
Hanzō Urushihara, once the archangel Lucifer, ruled heaven’s forces as their foremost leader before his rebellion against the divine order established by his creators, Ignora and Sataniel. Cast down, he allied with Satan as a key general in Ente Isla’s demonic armies until defeated by the hero Emilia on the Western Island. Covertly rescued by the priest Olba Meyer, he agreed to an alliance under the promise of celestial redemption in exchange for overthrowing Satan.

Transported to modern Tokyo, he assumes the human identity of Hanzō Urushihara, fabricated as an 18-year-old with fair skin, long dark purple hair, and piercing violet eyes. His wardrobe favors casual ensembles: a white shirt with purple sleeves, cuffed black trousers, blue sneakers, and violet ear piercings. Embracing a reclusive existence, he indulges in gaming and internet escapism while shirking chores, freeloading in Sadao Maou’s household alongside Shirō Ashiya.

His demeanor blends lethargy and sharp wit, masking a strategic mind that orchestrates schemes for personal convenience—deceiving allies to retrieve his console or exploiting debts to sell belongings. Rare flashes of accountability surface, such as aiding allies in crises. Proficient in hacking and programming, he manipulates digital networks and orchestrates covert communications, exemplified by hijacking platforms to contact Emilia.

Initially collaborating with Olba to dethrone Satan, he later subverts the priest’s agenda, engineering a spell that accidentally reignites Satan’s powers, culminating in Olba’s defeat. This pivot transitions him into a self-serving, reluctant ally. Exposure to celestial-infused cuisine from Suzuno Kamazuki temporarily restores his wings to their original white hue, echoing his angelic legacy.

In combat, he wields obsidian wings for flight, launches explosive feathers, and fires energy projectiles—abilities sustained by absorbing human negativity. His hybrid physiology grants resilience, surviving mortal wounds like Emilia’s holy blade through his chest. Though prioritizing leisure, he intermittently engages in strategic conflicts or financial solutions, his narrative arc oscillating between self-preservation and reluctant collaboration within human society.
