Description
Yuri Tsukikage presents as a calm, composed, and academically accomplished high school student, recognized for her cool demeanor. She possesses long dark purple hair, pale skin, and distinctive slit dark turquoise eyes, often wearing oval-rimmed glasses. Her standard attire is the Myoudou Academy uniform: a tan jacket, white dress shirt, dark red ribbon, and pleated skirt.

As the legendary warrior Cure Moonlight, representing the rose, her appearance transforms. Her hair becomes lavender, grows longer, and is styled with bangs partially covering her right eye, adorned with indigo roses. Her transformation outfit is a silver ankle-length dress with dark indigo lining, layered wing-like sleeves, and boots featuring ribbon details, centered by an indigo rose brooch bearing the Heartcatch emblem over her heart. Her enhanced Super Silhouette form adds light wings, extends her hair further, and replaces indigo elements with pale lavender accents. Her signature catchphrase is "I'll keep fighting, for everyone's heart!", and her attack incantation is "Gather, Power of Flowers! Moon Tact! Precure Floral Power Fortissimo!".

Her past is marked by her father Tsukikage Hideaki's disappearance during a search for the Tree of Hearts in France, straining her relationship with her mother Haruna. Partnering with the fairy Cologne, she became Cure Moonlight to protect the Tree of Hearts. Tragedy struck when Cologne sacrificed himself to save her during an attack by the Desert Apostles, causing her heart flower to wilt and her Pretty Cure Seed to shatter. This loss rendered her unable to transform and left her emotionally withdrawn under a burden of guilt. Her battles include confronting Dark Cure—revealed as her non-biological sister—and Sabaku, who was ultimately disclosed as her long-lost father. Sabaku's sacrifice during their confrontation deepened her emotional wounds.

In the film *Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure: The Snow Princess and the Miraculous Ring!*, Yuri, as part of the Heartcatch Pretty Cure team, travels to the snow kingdom Shantia for Princess Sharon's coronation. Demonstrating her characteristic composure, she calmly introduces herself while dodging snowballs during a playful fight with the Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure team. When Shantia is attacked by Snow Monsters under Sharon's control, she transforms into Cure Moonlight to join the battle. She collaborates with Cure Flamingo (Asuka Takizawa), executing a combined "Pretty Cure Cross Kick" maneuver. Her analytical nature surfaces as she deduces a "strong barrier" surrounds the trapped Heartcatch team.

Beyond her team, her relationships include a mentorship with Hanasaki Kaoruko (Cure Flower) and a close, though initially inconspicuous, friendship with classmate Kurumi Momoka. While initially distant from teammates Hanasaki Tsubomi (Cure Blossom), Kurumi Erika (Cure Marine), and Myoudouin Itsuki (Cure Sunshine), she gradually develops mutual trust with them, evident in Shantia where she fights alongside them without reservation.

Her name reflects her character: "Tsukikage" (月影) translates to "moonlight" or "moonbeams," referencing her Cure identity, while "Yuri" (ゆり) means "lily," aligning with the floral theme of her series.
