Description
Erika Kurumi is a 14-year-old student living in Kibougahana. Her family runs the Fairy Drop fashion boutique, and she resides there with her parents and older sister, Momoka. Erika harbors significant jealousy toward Momoka, stemming from Momoka's success as a model—a dream Erika once held but abandoned to pursue fashion design. Erika exhibits high energy, bluntness, and occasional immaturity, yet demonstrates deep loyalty to her friends and strong empathy, especially toward her quiet best friend, Tsubomi Hanasaki. She maintains a keen interest in color therapy, interpreting emotions through clothing colors.

As Cure Marine, Erika commands water-based powers reflecting her ocean theme. Her transformation phrase invokes "the flower swaying by the sea," connecting to her daisy motif. In this form, her appearance shifts to feature sky-blue, elongated hair, a light-blue mini-dress with marine details, and signature accessories including a heart-shaped hair clip and choker. Her attacks include *Marine Shoot*, firing water-droplet projectiles; *Marine Impact*, a powerful palm strike; and *Marine Dive*, an aerial heel kick. She later achieves upgraded forms: *Super Cure Marine*, distinguished by lighter blue attire, longer hair, and enhanced accessories; and *Rainbow Cure Marine*, featuring spiral-curled forelocks and feather-like skirt tails. Collaborative techniques with Cure Blossom include *Pretty Cure Double Shoot* and the comedic *Pretty Cure Daibakuhatsu*, an explosive energy release.

Erika's character development focuses on overcoming her envy of Momoka, achieving mutual respect after rescuing her sister from a villain. Her growing maturity shows in leadership during crises, such as comforting Tsubomi or formulating strategies against enemies. She displays rapid adaptability, mastering her transformations and combat techniques independently after observing Cure Moonlight.

In *Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure: The Snow Princess and the Miraculous Ring!*, Erika and the Heartcatch Pretty Cure team aid the Tropical-Rouge Cures in the snow kingdom of Shantia. The teams unite against a monster threatening Princess Sharon's coronation. Erika retains her core optimism and combat skills, collaborating effectively with both groups. The film integrates her signature attacks into combined maneuvers, highlighting her role in the joint effort to purify the antagonist. This crossover appearance extends her involvement beyond her original series.
