Muroga Hyoma is a member of the Kouga Manjidani clan and serves as the second-in-command to the clan leader, Danjo Kouga. He is one of the ten ninjas selected to participate in the brutal war against the Iga clan. Hyoma is blind, but this condition is far from a weakness, as his lack of sight has sharpened his other senses, particularly his hearing, to an extraordinary degree. He can detect the exact number of enemies approaching from great distances and is a highly skilled swordsman. Hyoma is described as wise and honorable, carrying a calm and composed demeanor, yet he conceals a terrifying power within. His unique dojutsu ability allows him to reverse any killing intent directed at him, forcing the attacker to turn their own lethal energy upon themselves. He serves as the maternal uncle and dedicated teacher of Gennosuke Kouga, having trained him from a young age. Hyoma has complete faith in Gennosuke's leadership and is willing to lay down his life to defend him. He is also a close friend of fellow clan member Saemon Kisaragi.
