Description
Roma Kamogawa lives and works on his family's farm in rural Japan, deeply rooted in the countryside lifestyle. He attends Taki High School specifically for its agricultural program, often assisting with farm chores like mucking out cows – tasks that fuel his self-consciousness about others perceiving his rural background.

A founding member of the "Don Glees" club alongside childhood friend Toto, Roma finds initial solace in their shared adventures as social outcasts excluded from typical peer activities. He displays introverted tendencies and harbors unrequited affection for Tivoli Urayasu, a former classmate who moved abroad to pursue photography. Roma cherishes a photograph she took using his father's professional camera, a symbol of his lingering feelings. His creative interests manifest through owning a Nikon camera and impulsively spending all his savings on a drone for filming fireworks, revealing a budding passion for visual arts despite lacking clear future direction.

After Toto's temporary move to Tokyo, Roma befriends Drop Sakuma, welcoming him into the Don Glees. When falsely accused of starting a forest fire, Roma takes initiative to retrieve their lost drone as evidence to prove their innocence. This expedition forces him to confront physical dangers like wildfires and bears while navigating emotional tensions within the group. During the journey, he openly discusses Tivoli as his personal "treasure" and reveals vulnerabilities about his aimlessness compared to his friends' ambitions.

Following Drop's unexpected death, Roma experiences profound grief, initially expressing it by destroying the Don Glees clubhouse. Among the wreckage, the discovery of a Coca-Cola bottle map leads Roma and Toto to Iceland to fulfill Drop's wish. There, at a red telephone booth near a golden waterfall, Roma uncovers how Drop orchestrated their initial connection through a misdialed phone call. This revelation, coupled with Drop's final note describing friendship as his true treasure, solidifies Roma's emotional growth. He ultimately embraces his rural identity and finds purpose in preserving the memories and bonds formed through the Don Glees, shedding his earlier insecurities.
