Description
Kan'u Unchou stands as Seito Academy's third-year student and designated heir to Guan Yu's legacy, bearing the inherited title "Goddess of War." She commands attention with a tall, athletic frame and tanned skin, her dark purple hair cascading to her feet and light blue-grey eyes often partially veiled by bangs covering her left eye. Her signature modified Seito sailor uniform features a cropped blouse revealing her midriff and back, paired with a blue miniskirt, loose white socks, and brown shoes; her physical measurements are 94-60-91.

Renowned among Kanto's A-rank fighters, she wields the ancestral Blue Dragon Crescent Blade (Reienkyou) and the sword Kusanagi. Her combat dominance springs from overwhelming chi energy and martial mastery, earning the epithet "God of Martial Arts." She unleashes devastating techniques like the "Rei Cold Sword" and "Kantei Renka Arashi Zhenraku."

Unwavering loyalty defines her, particularly toward Seito's leader Gentoku Ryuubi. Kan'u grants Gentoku leniency while ensuring her protection through personal vigilance or Ekitoku Chouhi. Pride in her lineage fuels relentless training to honor its legacy. Over time, romantic feelings for Gentoku emerge—confessed to allies like Koukin and internally acknowledged, though largely unnoticed by Gentoku.

Her journey ignites during the Great Fighters Tournament, where she crushes four foes effortlessly before clashing with Ryomou Shimei. Despite a broken arm from Ryomou's submission hold, Kan'u triumphs using only her legs and remaining arm. She later overpowers Hakufu Sonsaku in demonic form but withdraws, citing Seito's disinterest in the tournament's goals.

When Kyosho Academy targets Gentoku, Kan'u surrenders to captivity to shield her leader, enduring imprisonment and torture. She refuses Gentoku's offer to exchange the Dragon Jade for her freedom, prioritizing Seito's safety. Temporarily defecting to Kyosho in darker attire, she covertly safeguards Gentoku and breaks free when necessary, warning Kyosho's Kakouton she will kill Sousou if he threatens Seito or Gentoku. Heeding Shiryuu Chou-un's counsel, she distances herself from Gentoku to foster the leader's growth, yet returns for pivotal battles like the Battle of Red Cliffs to defend her.

Her combat portrayal evolves: early seasons emphasize near-invincibility, while later narratives introduce vulnerabilities. She suffers defeat against Genchoku Jousho due to incapacitating incense and endures psychological torment from Sousou. Despite setbacks, her resilience shines, exemplified when she defeats Kyosho's "Pillared Gods" during the Battle of Red Cliffs.
