Lady Rin, sometimes referred to as Queen Rin, is a minor character from the anime film Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. She lived many centuries before the film's present day and ruled over the kingdom of Rota from Cameran Palace during the time of the Aura Guardian known as Sir Aaron. Rin was a close friend of Sir Aaron, and the two shared a deep trust and mutual respect.
Her reign took place during a period of great turmoil, as two large armies of Pokémon were on the verge of clashing near the kingdom, threatening to destroy both the palace and the legendary Tree of Beginning. Despite the imminent danger, Rin was resolute in her determination not to abandon her people or her kingdom. She chose to remain within the castle and face whatever fate awaited it, even as the conflict escalated.
Sir Aaron, unwilling to let the kingdom fall, devised a plan to end the war. In an effort to protect both Rin and his own partner Lucario, he sealed Lucario inside the jewel of his staff and sent the staff to Rin via his Pidgeot. After receiving the staff, Rin witnessed the Tree of Beginning glowing brightly, a sign that Sir Aaron had sacrificed his own life to pour his Aura into the tree, thereby stopping the war and saving the kingdom. She understood what he had done and accepted the sacrifice.
