Description
Sakura Chiyoda serves as the adoptive older sister and mentor to Momo Chiyoda, originally the guardian magical girl of Sakuragaoka. Standing 152cm tall, she wears a cherry blossom-themed magical girl outfit. Her personality blends gentleness with energetic unpredictability, often leading to quirky actions like setting whimsical traps or leaving cryptic instructions during critical tasks such as sealing powerful entities. Despite occasional carelessness, she swears to protect others.

A decade before the main story, Sakura joined forces with Joshua to confront an impending disaster, resulting in his sealing inside a cardboard box. During the same period, she intervened to save Yuko Yoshida, who was dying from a severe family curse inflicted by the Light Clan. Sakura altered the curse's manifestation, transforming it from lethal into a source of poverty and persistent misfortune for the Yoshida family. To sustain Yuko's life, Sakura merged her core with Yuko's body, sacrificing her physical form and reverting to a cat-like spiritual state, leaving her unable to independently return to the real world.

Her magical abilities include the "Sacrament Cannon," a potent cherry blossom petal-shaped energy blast, and the creation of powerful barriers capable of altering curses. For example, she modified the curse affecting Mikan Hinatsuki, turning its severe effects into milder, comical misfortunes triggered by nervousness. Her influence shaped Sakuragaoka's protective barriers, and she hid wish point cards within the Pot of Manna at the town's barrier center.

Sakura's past includes rescuing Momo from a snowy battlefield in an unspecified country, naming her for her pink hair, and bringing her to Japan. Facing another disaster threat, Sakura asked Joshua to erase Momo's memories of their close bond and her past, ensuring Momo would agree to leave town for safety, explaining Momo's fragmented recollection.

Bound to Yuko as a life-sustaining force, Sakura maintains connections with ancient entities like the demon Gusion, whom she calls "Gussie." She provides guidance from within Yuko, appearing in dreams when sufficient magic accumulates. She urges Yuko to revive the "Bureau of Darkness" and overwrite Shion Ogura with Gusion's essence for assistance, advising Yuko and allies to prioritize survival by laying low against looming threats. Sakura's return to physical form depends on Yuko developing the strength to break the family curse completely. She occasionally manifests in dreams to offer cryptic advice or warnings, reinforcing her role in the town's supernatural balance.
