Description
Ryuu Yamada, a delinquent high school student at Suzaku High, initially struggles with his reputation and lack of motivation. His life takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally kisses Urara Shiraishi, the school’s top honor student, during a confrontation. This act triggers a mysterious phenomenon: the two swap bodies. Through this experience, Yamada discovers the existence of witches at Suzaku High—students who possess unique supernatural abilities. Each witch’s power is activated through a kiss, and Yamada’s ability allows him to copy these powers by kissing the witches.
As Yamada and Shiraishi investigate further, they uncover that there are seven witches in total, each with distinct abilities tied to specific conditions. The duo forms the Supernatural Studies Club to identify and gather the witches, aiming to understand the origins of their powers and resolve the mysteries surrounding them. Along the way, they encounter other witches, including Noa Takigawa, who can erase memories; Miyabi Itou, who can swap bodies with others; and Nene Odagiri, who can steal abilities temporarily. The group faces challenges from rival factions, such as the Student Council, which seeks to control the witches for their own purposes.
The narrative explores themes of friendship, trust, and identity as Yamada and his allies navigate the complexities of their powers and relationships. The story delves into the personal struggles of each witch, revealing their vulnerabilities and motivations. As the group uncovers the truth about the witches’ origins, they learn of a ritual that can either grant immense power or erase all supernatural abilities from existence. The series culminates in a climactic decision that tests the bonds between the characters and their willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
The main characters include Ryuu Yamada, whose initial apathy transforms into a sense of responsibility; Urara Shiraishi, whose intelligence and calm demeanor provide stability to the group; and the various witches, each contributing unique dynamics to the story. The series balances humor, romance, and supernatural intrigue, creating a compelling narrative that keeps readers engaged throughout its progression.
